The Gray Lands and The Kraggon Canyon

Long ago, the celestial war spilled out of the heavens and onto Korlo's Orund, entangling the early races of man in the conflicts of the gods. One of the final battles of this conflict was waged in the hills of The Kraggon Valley. The Valley was known chiefly as Elven lands; The Elven kingdom of Elbari was the central jewel of the region. The battle between the children of Korlo and The Fallen Betrayers ravaged this land, pit fiends sent up from the abyss clashed with elves of Elbari as the skies burned and Arcane attacks rained down on the Valley. The King of Horns himself graced the battlefield and was said to have unleashed a weapon that ravaged the lands of Kraggon and destroyed the city of Elbari entirely. The Valley was nearly sundered in two, a giant canyon forming in the aftermath of this attack, hundreds of thousands if not a million Eleven lives snuffed out in an instant; The land was permanently scarred both physically and magically by these events.   In Modern Andrim, The valley is referred to as The Gray Lands, as nothing grows there. In addition the sun doesnt shine here, the sky permanently clouded, bleak and whiteish during the day fading darker and darker into the night. The scar that tears through this land is called the Kraggon Canyon now, it ripped the valley asunder and tore right through the center of Elbari, the ancient Elven city. The Kragg as local's call it accounts for much of the central terrain of the gray lands, a rocky and precarious canyon that fractures off in several directions in key junctures, making a network of fissures all manor of creatures can hide in, the infamous Grick are known for blending in with the rocky peaks and attacking passers by. The northern reaches of The Gray consist of what once was a great Elvish forest, a Faewood. Whatever blast caused the formation of the Kragg also completely petrified the wood, now referred to as "The Porcelain Forest" a land frozen in a moment in time. The Kragg river runs through this land and eventually comes to a waterfall that pours down into the vast Kragg Basin.   Near the border of Bettigar and The Gray you can find the small village of Barrel Hollow. One of the only towns that exist outside of the baronies, known as a haven for criminals and various wanted men.   The Wardens wild faction of Horseman patrol this area and have no fortress or permanent, they move through the area nomadically doing the best they can to keep the area safe, traveling between this area and The Barony of The Black Coast
