The Wardens
The Wardens are a faction of volunteers that live on the fringes of society, protecting both nature from civilization and civilization from nature. They live just outside the walls of the of major settlements and cities or, if the Warden is more advanced or a master amongst his clan he may live deep within the heart of nature, isolating himself from Civilization to understand the true nature of Orund better. Wardens traditionally are proponents of balance in all things;again, traditionally. In more recent years, scoundrels and rogues have carved out a more nuanced role within the organization as they look to make use of their talents and escape cities they may be wanted in. Wardens are often seen as good hearted protectors of all forms of life, though some certainly have a darker edge to them as they grow more and more frustrated with mankind's treatment of the world. Wardens are broken off into Orders; Orders have areas of jurisdiction that Wardens are responsible for protecting or monitoring, the various orders of the Warden organization have outpost and fortresses buried deep in nature, often hidden from those that may casually pass through the woods or a snowy valley. The most notable of these is The Cat's Claw Keep, in the Tor'an forest of Rend, it is the largest Warden fortress documented and is lead by a human named Kalass Faerguld locally known as The Warden of The Woods.
The Northern Mountains of Dalrath house a cadre of Wardens all their own, The Ridge Wardens. Led by Ser Garth Goldshire of The Goldshy Gnomes; his battalion of Ridge Runners ride War Goats that can move through the terrain much easier than any horse.
The lands of Tor belong to the Forest Wardens, they patrol everything from the rolling hills of Tor to the forest of Rend, where they make their home at the Cat's Claw Keep. The Wardens of Rend's Forest are experts in the traversal of the rivers of Tor and the animals of the land the rivers run through.
The southern lands Wardens are a group of Nomadic riders known as The Roving Wardens, They patrol the southern lowlands in groups of 5 or 6 riders; they are lead by Commander Parval Blackstone The Horse Lord, Noble descendant of the great Alchemist Regulus Blackstone and current leader of the Courser faction overall, elected by the other 9 Lords of Order.
The Black Coast Wardens are called Darkwatch.. they patrol the coast on beast and boat alike, vigiliant against the slimy maddening threats that crawl out of the black sea and into the minds of its inhabitants, the mysterious wardens are known to be very few in number, and their assignment is conisdered the harshest among the Andrimian Wardens
The Kaldorian Wardens of Borvos, known as the Black Marsh Order; Freaks of nature that blend thier blood with the beast of the Kaldorian Landscape for mutations that can help them in their travels, they must work very differently to maintain the delicate balance of nature in the dark and monster dominated Borvos.
The Wardens of The Jungles of D'vesh are a deadly group, most well known for their stealth and ability to navigate the extremely difficult terrain of the Jungle. Additionally they contain the most mystic members of any order, hosting a variety of D'veshing shamans and witch Doctors as well as druids in their ranks; many wearing the bone charms of the D'vesh's predators; The Dinosaurs.
