Tiefling

Tieflings were more rare before the war than they are now, thanks to the wild magic areas within the Lush tearing holes into the other planes. Tieflings come in many shapes and sizes, though most have traits they picked up from their mortal half.
Tieflings have horns, fangs, and tails in damn near every iteration of their bloodlines. How strongly these traits manifest largely has to do with how powerful their blood is. Fiery and fun-loving, tieflings are uncommon enough not to be widely trusted by everyone, but are for the most part accepted. The distrust that remains comes from the tieflings part in the war, being in some cases quite literally bred for it.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Tieflings look humanoid, with two legs, two arms, and a single head. However, they may have other oddities about them, such as extra fingers or different hued skin, or animalistic legs.

Genetics and Reproduction

Tiefling cannot have children without magical intervention. This is often accomplished by the tiefling communicating with their demonic or devilish parent, or more rarely by finding a sympathetic mage. If they do manage to successfully conceive, the gestation of the fetus varies based on the mortal half of the tieflings blood.

Growth Rate & Stages

Tieflings stay young for a long period of time, though often shielded by one of their parents from the rest of the world until they are old enough to fend for themselves. While they are young their more devilish/demonic blood does not reveal itself very much. Their skin may be tinted, and their teeth may be sharper than normal. Some with particularly strong blood may already have a tail or very small horns. Once a tiefling is mature, however, the rest of their features begin to manifest.

Ecology and Habitats

Tieflings can be found anywhere humans can, though they are much, much more rare. They prefer most times to be around people anyway, able to use their silver tongues and way with the arts to ply their many trades.

Tieflings have incredible capability to see in the dark and communicate with other devil and demon-spawn, something other species can very rarely accomplish without the aid of magic.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Tieflings can vary widely in color from an off white to a dark black, with every hue in-between, including reds, pinks, purples, blues, and greens.
