Wild Elves

The more free and willful of the subraces of Elf, Wild Elves are more combat and nature oriented than their High Elven or Elven brethren. At one point the Empire thought to enslave Wild Elves and make use of their proficiency as guerrilla fighters in the wilds, but the Wild Elves retreated further in and managed to avoid the roving bands of soldiers until the War was over, aside from a few unlucky ones.
Wild Elves are identifiable from other elves in many ways, the easiest to spot of which is their typical choice in dress. Usually more natural colors and fibers, such as green and brown wool, the Wild Elves blend into their chosen environment. Their ears are also pointed lower than even a typical Elves, and their canine teeth and fingernails are just a smidgen pointed.
They tend to live in tribes of other Wild Elves in the wilds, far outside the cities and palaces of the High Elves and Elves. They often trade with Orcish tribes, as they are the only two groups outside of civilization out in the wilds that really socialize.
Wild Elves despise technology past a certain point. In their mind the Lush is natures way of fighting back against the grievous wrongs dealt it during the war, and many refuse to have anything to do with stopping it.

Anatomy

Wild Elves are more limber and muscular than the other kinds of Elf, tending to favor climbing trees, running fast, and swift swimming to magical and technological means of transportation.

Genetics and Reproduction

Wild Elves are far more fertile/virile than their High Elven brethren, and even more so than Elves as well. They may have a child at any time after their age of maturity and well into their older ages.

Growth Rate & Stages

Wild Elves grow very fast, spending very little time as children. They spend the longest time as adults, many never leaving the forests of their tribe.

Ecology and Habitats

Wild Elves prefer the deepest parts of the wilds they can find, often building small nomadic civilizations there to habitate.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Though Wild Elves are not vegetarian, when they kill an animal they use every part of it - hides for cloth, sinew for thread, stomachs for water-proof packing, etc.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Wild Elves are said to have the best hearing and eyes of any of the elves, as well as the best ability to communicate with the natural world. Their magic tends to be limited to the more natural - Nature, Weather, Light, Dark, etc.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

They tend to favor body paints and other distinct marking between tribes, often having to do with their jobs or something important about themselves.
