Anathod

Anathod is the holy land of the Dawn Father. Blessed by both his gracious touch and presence from the Dawn War, the people here have strived in worshipping his virtues since the beginning of their time. Being one of the oldest nations, established during the early years of the founding, this has lead them to have a landscape lush in both historic architecture and religious locations predating some gods.
During the Dawn War, many paladins and clerics passed through the temples, training to join the frontline on other planes along with some places on the prime material plane. Other deities such as Tyr also found their roots among society in Anathod. The wildmother has temples, but she differs from her husband on her approach to society as a whole. Though no major conflict happened in Anathod, some foul creatures and even Chromatic Dragons showed the carnage they were capable of on the people.
In modern times, Anathod has formed a strong alliance with the nation of Durbar and the Drurian Dynasty. Trade between them is highly profitable and keeps them thriving in many different ways. Anathods worship of Pelor, brings them many bountiful harvests, leading to trade of all kinds of agricultural goods. Strip mines are found in some places where they can pull well prices minerals from the earth thanks to the Hammered Stone organization.
The capitol city of Anathod is Sorringrad, the primary temple to the dawn father is located here. King Cromanth Sunstriker is the current leader, having held the title for nearly two decades. Though people like him, political unrest is present in some of the kingdoms across Anathod. Cromanth is a Goliath, differing from the prior kings that were all human. This change in race, though small, has been the root of issues for some noble houses since his rise to power.
