The Order of Tyr

"If you come across people in need, aiding them in the completion of reasonable tasks should come as second nature. Taking compensation is allowed, but excessive demands are unjust."
"Root out evil, bring justice to lawless lands, banish the creatures of the undead, and bring light to dark places of the world."
-Tyr, Lord of Justice
The Order of Tyr would uphold the law wherever they traveled, taking thorough accounts of their judgments, rulings and actions. Through these accounts they corrected their errors and honed their understanding of the various laws of the lands throughout Osserea. Their actions should always abide by the law and let none others break them. They were to be vigilant in their watch, swift to intercede and never fail to bring justice upon lawbreakers.   Within the more civilized areas of Osserea, Tyrrans served as legal experts and lawyers. They would dispense legal advice and often advocate for those accused of guilt in trials. Although they would often lecture others who failed to completely adhere to a law and complained about extraneous formalities. However, they would often address these complaints to local authorities to ensure they would be better followed in the future. The faithful of Tyr would never enforce an edict that was shown to be unjust or contradicted another law.   Within the wilderness, where law was seldom a concern, Clerics and Paladins of Tyr served as judge, jury and executioner. While they often equated vengeance for justice in their actions, they adhered to the philosophy of demonstrating "the mercy of ignorance." If someone was truly unknowing of local laws and customs, they were allowed a warning, albeit recorded for posterity in case of future transgressions.   Tyr has temples across Osserea, but his main temple was situated in the city of Sorringrad in the nation of Anathod. While Tyr still roamed the prime material plane, he fought alongside Erathis at ruling out evil and unjust behaviour. The two would later marry, forming a strong bond between their churches and nations. During the Dawn War, the two fought vigilantly in the protection of their people, but even gods can fall.   Tyr and Erathis were ambushed by the Demon Princes Orcus and Demogorgon in the later years of the Dawn War. Though the two fought valiantly, Erathis was gravely wounded. Tyr made the ultimate sacrifice, tearing a hole in the realm to the Abyss, and dragging the both of them in with him. Paladins of the Order of Tyr know he is still alive, hearing his prayers and being granted his power to keep those on the prime material plane safe from the unjust.
