Selûne is the goddess of the moon, stars, and celestial navigation. She is a member of The Ennead, and is known by several names, including:

• Our Lady of Silver
• The Moonmaiden
• The Moonmother

Description

Selûne is said to be as ever-changing as the moon in both mood and appearance. At times, she is young, energetic, and vivacious. At other times, she is motherly and tranquil. In some moments, she is weighed down by sadness and grief. And in others, she is aggressive and angry, filled with coldness and a lack of mercy. No matter which form she takes, she is surrounded by a faint blue glow when in darkness.

Symbols

Selûne's primary symbol is a pair of eyes surrounded by seven stars. Her favored animal is an owl, and she is also associated with cats and wolves.

Worshippers

Selûne is the patron saint of wanderers, travelers, and navigators. Merchants and sailors widely worship her due to her control over the tides and celestial navigation. She is also commonly worshipped by human women.
