Otrina
Otrina is a satellite that orbits a gas giant and houses all known life. As such, its biome is incredibly diverse though its seasons are largely isolated. A large area surrounding the north pole is coated in snow near year-round, and the south is mostly arid deserts. The land near the equator is temperate and full of fertile land, though the dense forests in the west are primarily rainy.
Approximately 40% of the planet is water, and 5% of the (high-intelligence) species are water-dwelling. Another 10% are water-land hybrids, and the remaining 85% are strictly land-dwelling. There are a total of 27 colonizing races that live on the planet (Not counting half- races), and countless beasts and monsters. There are currently 10 gods and goddesses that rule over the mortals, though there was once many more. For more information on that, see WAR OF THE GODS.
The world is split into 3 countries, named Aibas (West), Pleidros (East), and Aberain (North-West). Aibas and Pleidros are one continent, with their borders defined by the center of the ocean and halfway across the Naked Flatlands. Aberain was formally a part of Pledros, but now resides within Aibas' boarders due to deals established after The Godless War. There are also two collections of islands, Peacock Island and Pilris Isle. Elves and other magic races are native to Pleidros, while humans and mostly low-magic races hale from Aibas.
