Jevinathra Regnomard
Jevinathra Regnomard (a.k.a. Jenny)
Jevinathra Regnomard is a major political player in the modern world, enough so that she has earned her own page outside of her family’s already significant list of accomplishments. She has steadfastly refused the role of Overlord herself, but maintains a good grasp on the workings of the Castle of Terror. She is, unarguably, the most essential person on the current Overlord’s staff and were she to quit it is possible the whole castle would fall apart inside of a week. To quote the Overlord himself, she is the one who “dots all the I’s and makes sure there are enough crossbows ordered for next month’s security conference.”
She is an exquisite specimen of feminine humanity, with a sharp nose. For as long as I have known her, Jenny has preferred tailored clothing to the more casual varieties usually worn by her peers. Her job title is, on paper, personal assistant to the Overlord, but this is something of an understatement. She is highly businesslike, easily irritated by incompetence and is not easily surprised. Some might go so far as to call her jaded. She is secretive and precise, with good reason, and dislikes spontaneity. In moments of wrath she has been accused of psychopathy, a trait which I cannot claim either for or against her.
As the only one of her family to stay by her father Dramonger III’s side, it has understandably strained her relationship with her remaining siblings. In spite of this, she remains close with her brother Morpheus, and maintains if not friendship than at least friendly acquaintance with most of the other overlords, with only one exception. On Earth, she has very few friends. One of them is her college roommate Maeve, who is the epitome of bubbly. From what I have seen of her, she is exceedingly annoying and determined to have her own way. Here, she has what she calls employees and what the rest of us call friendship.
For any who might question the space I give to this remarkable woman, I have two points. First, as author it is my prerogative to put whoever I like in these pages, and Jenny is like a daughter to me. I can think of few better to grace these pages. Second, she is important to the recent events in Denyithragorathia, detailed by my co-author in greater detail in another tome. Understanding her will go a long way towards understanding the mindset of the people of the Overlord world, and underestimating her will leave the person in question embarrassed and on the losing side.
