Mutt-Inn

Technically you do have to pay to stay here. It's just not very much, and considering the threat of violence and theft, you would be better of simply staying at the overpriced gastro pub down the street. (As an aside, I have eaten at the Angel of Innocence Gastro Pub and Hotel, and their food is excellent.)
Located in one of the more aesthetically pleasing areas of Denyithragorathia, the Mutt-Inn exclusively serves mutton. Mutton stew, mutton roasts, MLT sandwiches (but only if the tomatoes are ripe and the mutton is nice and lean), and so on and so forth. The food is good quality, if somewhat one note.
The people who stay there are...not the best quality. Even for an Evil nation, this landmark is considered somewhat questionable. Even assassins tend to avoid it as a place for conducting business, as being a little too shady for their tastes. Also, most of their clients would be robbed before they might pay and that's not just good business practice.
The only people who are safe to stay here are those who are ready and willing to lay down their lives to defend whatever possessions they have brought with them, no matter how insignificant. Potential thieves tend to sense this insane energy and leave those people alone, moving on to those who are more complacent and/or ignorant of the situation. Being tough or having a lot of guards does not matter. It's all about the attitude.

Purpose / Function

The Mutt-Inn was originally built as a restaurant, to take advantage of the glut of sheep available in the area. The original owner had some legal troubles and went into debt with a local crime syndicate to deal with it. As a part of this debt, members of the syndicate would use the inn to lay low, which resulted in the expansion into an actual place of rest to explain all the strange people who stayed overnight. Also, having them stay in the kitchens was something of a health and safety violation for all concerned.
