Woodland King

"...The Woodland King is the ruler and guardian of the Creepy Crawly Woods..."

The Woodland king rules and protects the Creepy Crawly Woods and to do this more effectively he has chosen to tolerate many unusual inhabitants around the various parts of the woods.

No-one knows how long he has ruled the Woods as no-one can remember a time when he wasn’t the King. No-one seems to know how old he is or where he came from, but he looks like an elderly Wood Elf with a beard and small antlers or horns growing out of his forehead.

Just like the passing of the seasons he knows the only constant in the world is change. He knows that if he doesn't change with the times then he and the woods will be at risk, and that's why he is open to hosting such a diverse set of peoples within the borders of his tiny realm.

He is the leader of the 'Wise of the Woods' , a group who meet every solstice and equinox. Everything they do is to help all the creatures, plants and trees that live within the Creepy Crawly Woods and the Hard Lands.

The Woodland King's Hall

The Woodland King and his household live in a hall within the southwestern part of the woods. The hall is partly living trees and plants and partly made from fallen boughs and other materials collected from the woods.

Midsummer's Eve Party

The Woodland King’s parties are renowned across the lands of Owtdare and the best is always the party on Midsummer’s Eve. Everyone hopes to get an invitation, you can’t get in without one (Froaty will make sure!)
