New World Islands
Pirates, Lizards and riches.
The New World Islands is a set of islands in Oxum's western ocean and the native home of the Lizardmen.
It consists of two large islands, the Sickle of Luun and the Isle of Quain'ish, as well as several smaller island groups.
Currently, it has been highly contested by colonists from Foxtonia and Estelonia who both wish to gain control over the two large islands and claim its riches. As of now, Foxtonian colonists have mostly settled on the Sickle of Luun while Estelonians have colonized a large part of Quain'ish. Conflicts between the two colonial forces are frequent, leading to the ocean space between the two island to be littered with shipwrecks filled with valuables.
As such, piracy has become a big source of troubles for the locals as many supply lines end up being raided by the roving bands of marauders and looters. Both sides of the conflict suffer from this rampant piracy, yet both are too caught up in their own conflict to be able to distribute their relatively small colonial forces to try and stop them, and instead hire mercenaries, privateers and adventurers to deal with the bands of pirates and brigands in exchange for a hefty bounty.

Geography
The New World is divided into several islands or island groups scattered around this region of Oxum's western ocean.
Most areas have a similar geography, that being flat land or gentle slopes though the larger islands tent to have higher mountainous peaks due to the islands' violent volcanic creation.
Both the Isle of Luun and Quain'ish have similar topography, with mountainous regions along the "spine" of the islands and softer hills and plains closer to the central shores. The more northern islands, such as those in the Infernal Roar to the north are far more rough when it comes to terrain, with most of it being recently-formed volcanic stone or sharp, jagged rocky peaks and active volcanoes.
