Infopinne
"Infopinnes are reserved exclusively for the highest tiers of Command. If you don't know how to use one it's because you don't need to know."
History
The Infopinne was developed by the people at Peacekeeper Efficiency after a sever data breach of the servers which held a substantial amount of highly confidential information during the Primary Territories Uprising (1574 - 1611 PT). The problem of storing data in a way which couldn't be hacked by enemy combatants in a different star system was solved by creating a small device on which this data could be stored without needing to connect to the wider system, now known as the infopinne. It has since played an important role in the development of the Peacekeeper Alliance, aiding the Peacekeepers in ensuring their data is secure but still portable.Utility
Each infopinne holds up to 1MTB of data. It is a small electro-digital device which allows for the storing and transfer of data. The controls on the outside, when used correctly with an approved biometric and psychometric pass, allow a user to access and project the data held inside. They are most commonly used by The Alliance for the storing and secure transfer of politically sensitive information. However, non-Alliance vaildated versions have appeared across the Peacekeeper Territories, and are often used for storing illicit materials.Related Articles
