History

Wakeful Tabs (Polyneurovexical) was originally developed by a Majoran who was struggling to find the time to get the work they needed to done and focus on their pet projects. It was only meant to be a stimulant which would allow an extra few hours of focus, but it turned out to be far more powerful.
The Majoran and their invention quickly and quietly disappeared into Peacekeeper Efficiency, and within a few years top-level members of Peacekeeper Alliance were distributing a small amount to trusted members of staff.
It is now used by enforcers, emissaries and administrators across The Alliance as an effective way of pushing to the edge of what the body can achieve. There is also an illicit market for them among students, particularly those at Peacekeeper Academy and other establishments where the pressure is particularly high.

Doses

One tab is enough to keep an adult Pachian awake for the following standard cycle, and it takes 25 - 45 minutes to take effect. It is advised that an individual does not consume more than three tabs over the course of five standard cycles, leaving at least one standard cycle between each one. That being said, species other than Pachians may vary, and The Alliance would never restrict the liberties of its citizens by telling them what they could do with their own bodies.
