Session XI: Travel on Shadowmire

General Summary

Stories

As their travels through Shadowmire took over a week and the this was the most boring travel yet as they haven't met anything, they started to tell each other stories. Darian spoke about the first time he saw Morvok, how innocent he was and how he got captured and how his family was trying to save him. Dorn spoke about how he got recipe for potions that help him resist the drider curse and how he got familiar with Under Keepers. Kai told a story how she got her trident and story about her family and their famous ritual that almost got ruined.

Drow Ambush

After a week they got into ambush by drow elves that were on a hunt, led by Ssazdan Barriath himself, one of the most famous man-hunters in Underdark. They got captured and took to Drow checkpoint waiting for their transport to Xyndra'Kul. However as they were captured, Gimmun wasn't with them on Drow cart, he probably got lost in Shadowmire. They managed to escape with help of other prisoners as Gnome Gunthun helped them break Aurorite chains, which were preventing their magic. They killed Drow Priestess, took their equipment and run away, chased by Drow on gliders, but Dorn's magic from scroll make short work of them.

Drakar Bluestone

When they escaped the Drow checkpoint, Dorn found inscriptions on the wall, symboling hideout of Under Keepers. He found out it belongs to his old friend, Drakar Bluestone who took them in and provided them with shelter as they were exhausted after their escape, where Kai almost died. He also helped them to find Gimmun through Scrying. Gimmun was on the edge of Shadowmire, unconscious. Luckily enough he wasn't in Faerzress so Scrying worked.

First Vision of Void

Kai and Dorn saw during the night dark, empty place of unknown origin, where they were offered gift of vision. They both accepted and wondered through, seeing enormous monstrosity capable of devouring towns, cities, mountains and even entire regions as if nothing happened. Kai resisted soon enough and escaped the visions but Dorn couldn't. He was drawn into the visions, slowly succumbing corruption on his physical body, converting his second leg in Void.
