1 standard action, instantaneous, touch
The subject contracts an advanced form of scurvy. He becomes constantly fatigued, suffers from bone pain (–1 penalty on Strength- and Dexterity-based checks), wounds easily (add +1 point of damage to any bleed effects affecting the target), experiences loose teeth, and is slow to heal (natural healing occurs at half the normal rate). Scurvy can be treated magically or can be overcome with proper nutrition; eating the right foods ends the fatigue and bone pain within 1–2 days and provides a full cure 2d6 days after that.
Target: living creature touched

Advanced Scurvy is an exclusively Sailorite spell that inflicts scurvy on the target: a nasty disease that leaves them weakened, tired and more vulnerable to damage. Scurvy sometimes occurs naturally in the lower levels of Palimpsest, where access to sunlight-dependant fruits and vegetables are scarce, and is said to occassionally afflict airship explorers on long voyages or stranded without proper food or nutrition.   Although related to the illegal Contagion spells, Sailorite influence on the Eccumenical Tabernacle and in the Second Court has ensured that Advanced Scurvy receives an exception from the Malediction legal charges brought against similar spells. They argue that, since only the Sailor provides access to the spell, outlawing it would be heretical, and point to the natural recovery process through diet (rather than relying on magical intervention or the victim's natural fortitude) as an indication that the spell is less harmful than other disease spells. Haltscurvy, the sacred drink of the Sailor, is an Advanced Scurvy antedote.   Viziera Andromeda Stargazer is known to be able to cast Advanced Scurvy, having done so on Lindie Asklepa on Copperday, Thiefmoon, 1312 - during the Patchwork Empire's attack on the Stargazer Library.
