Berryfest
Twice a year, the followers of Brambleson, Prince of Rabbits celebrate the food festival of Berryfest, in which berry tarts, berry pies, berry muffins and berry mulled wine are all consumed in large quantities.
Execution
The festival of Berryfest lasts two days, with the first day devoted to cooking and preparing the food, and the second day spent feasting on it. Music is played during the feast and carols are sung.
Berryfest is the only time of year where vocal speech is permitted in the Bramble Church (all of the quotidian business and sermons are exclusively held in Earspeak, which the floppy-eared Bunbun cannot use). This means that during Berryfest the Church is generally louder than at any other time of year, although it is still quieter than most non-Bunbun celebrations in the city.
Observance
The holiday of Berryfest takes place two times in the official Palimpsest calendar, which align with the Wandering Moon's apex of its path around The Beggar Man and the apex of its path around The Sailor, which is when Brambleson's star is brightest.
