Brambleson, the Prince of Rabbits (Survivor Star)
Rabbit god of prickly plants, luck, freedom and protection.
Brambleson , the Prince of Rabbits (a.k.a. Bramble)
Brambleson is one of the Survivor Stars of the Palimpsest night sky. Nestled between the Sailor and the Beggar Man constellations, Brambleson (or Bramble, to at least one of his followers) is most commonly worshipped by the Bunbun rabbit people who dwell in the Warrens of the ever-sinking city of Palimpsest.
Divine Domains
Bramble's alignment is Chaotic Good, and his portfolio includes prickly plants, luck, freedom and protection. His cleric domains are Fur, Liberation, Luck, Protection, Stars and Thorns, and his favoured weapon is the Rapier.
Bramble presides over the "Briarpatch", a mystical sanctuary bordering the Garden Beyond the Stars that is protected by a perimeter of thorny rose and bramble bushes. His followers, who are most likely to be either enslaved or oppressed Beastfolk (usually Bunbun), or the protectors and liberators of slaves and the downtrodden, believe they will join Bramble in the Briarpatch when they die.
Artifacts
Rabbit Prince's Blade: +2 broken, dancing, ghost-touch short sword.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
In the expanded Palimpsest Tarot, which includes the illicit survivor deities, the Brambleson star corresponds to the third card in the Noble Survivor Suit, called the Subsistence Noble. It represents the concept of Protection.
Brambleson imagery is often associated berries, roses and twisting briars. Unsurprisingly, the Bramble is Brambleson's sacred plant, and each Berryfest his followers eat Brambleberry Tarts and drink Mull'berry Wine. Brambleson's quick and evasive nature is reflected in the fact that both he and his sacred animal are rabbits. While Brambleson himself weilds a broken sword as a weapon, his sacred weapon is the rapier, which has a thornlike blade and is designed for dexterity over strength.
Holidays
Berryfest: Twice a year, the followers of Brambleson celebrate the food festival of Berryfest, in which berry tarts, berry pies, berry muffins and berry mulled wine are all consumed in large quantities.

Morality & Philosophy
According to the Brambleite faith, Brambleson's philosophy reflects the different parts of the Bramble, Brambleson's sacred plant: "Protected by Thorns, Providing through Berries, Pretty as Roses":
Protected by Thorns: Brambleson escapes his terrifying pursuer, the Terrier Beneath the Sands, with the protection provided by the Briarpatch, and his followers look to him for protection when they are in danger. The Bramble Church is not explicitly pacifist, but it cautions against taking the battle to others. "Thorns do not get up and travel," their holy texts argue, "so be wary and defend if needed, but do not take the fight to unfamiliar ground."
Providing through Berries: According to the myth The Birth of Brambleson, the newborn Brambleson demonstrated the value he places on nourishment by eating from his Berry Cradle. One of the absolute non-negotiable rules of the Bramble faith is to never allow someone to go hungry when you could feed them. This is reflected in the sorts of spells that Brambleson often provides his followers, which include the ability to Create Water or Daylight, which allows the Tangle Tenders of the church to provide enough sustenance for the entire Bunbun Warren.
Pretty as Roses: Brambleson's first divine promise was to play even when things seem dark, and finding or looking for "the rose in the thorns" is a common Brambleite idiom. All Bramble Artefacts are designed with a delicate elegance, and most have a twisting and/or rose motif. Brambleites believe that simply being pleasing (aesthetically or otherwise) is enough to make something valuable or good, and moreover, argue that even items with a function should still be created to be pretty.

Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Bramble's first divine promise was that for all his days he would play and make merry in the Briarpatch. He keeps his promise, and plays as other stars faded and died, which his followers take as an instruction to play, even when all seems dark.
Currently, Brambleson is working through his oracle, Connie Furr to bring sixteen of the star deities together in order to prevent another apocalypse. He has gifted her part of his soul, the Rabbit Prince's Blade, which becomes a dancing rapier for her to fight with.
