The kukri is made of a bloodcraving quartz known as bloodcrystal. Any attacks that hit a target suffering from a bleed effect deal 1 additional point of damage from the attack as the blood crystal drains blood from the wound. This applies even if the creature was taking bleed damage before the attack with the blood crystal weapon. This does not increase the amount of the bleed effect. Although slightly more deadly to already bleeding creatures, weapons made with blood crystal are brittle and only have one-half the normal hit points. For this reason, blood crystal is more of an alchemical fascination than a widely used weapon material.
Lindie Asklepa carries a kukri made from bloodcrystal, that she lifted as a child from her mother's Apothecary. Despite being only five years old when she acquired the weapon, her adoptive father, Krona Tailfeather, allowed her to keep this rare and deadly blade for protection on the mean streets of the Undercity.
