The Arts Macabre
The Arts Macabre is an esoteric scholarly grimoire written about 300 years ago, before the study of magic had been formalised by the universities and restricted by the Honourable Company. It is an unfocused collection of snippets of magical rituals that the author, Paracelsis Darktusk (it is unknown whether this would be the Elder or Younger), had collected through hearsay. It includes information about summoning rituals, pacts and spirits that at the time was legal to study but now is forbidden knowledge.

Legacy
One of the few remaining volumes of the book was discovered by a scavenger in the Understacks. Krona Tailfeather, a reporter for the Undergazette, purchased a single page from the scavenger, while the rest of the book has since fallen into the possession of Mudskip, a notorious criminal who controls the water supply in the Undercity.
