The Elector Lordship of Lorsund has struggled in recent years to gain a stable footing in the face of some unusual and unexpected calamities. Æschylus has been ruling for 11 years, and is now 40 years old. With two children, barring any more accidents, it seems Lorsund has some stability.

Personal history
In 1885, Crescentius inherited the lordship of Lorsund from his father, who had died aged 88 after a 37 year reign. His own lordship began uneventfully, but in 1888 there was an incursion of Failed from The Underworld called Mournlings. They caused havoc for several weeks in some of Lorsund's more remote areas, until Crescentius rode out with his forces to confront the beasts, unwilling to wait for the arrival of the Venator Legionis. His troops were ambushed by the devious creatures and Crescentius was killed, leaving his only child, Artemisia to inherit the lordship.
Artemisia only reigned for five years before she and her children died of illness, and the only eligible heir was Crescentius' brother, Octavius. Octavius was 61, but had two children, so was considered a safe selection. He died only two years into his reign in 1895 from a riding accident, leaving Æschylus his eldest to inherit the position aged 29.
