Valahe
The oldest official state on the northern continent, Valahe was founded by Imperial settlers looking to escape the perceived barbaric ways of the Sakamohr Hegemony. Whilst it claims independence, recent actions have shown that the state is little more than a puppet of the Elector State of Keltas.
The majority of the Imperial population is concentrated along the Modnictorum river and the gold mining settlements in the mountains. The Dwellers who lived there prior to the arrival of Imperial colonists are spread throughout the region and are widely discriminated against by their more 'civilised' occupiers.
Structure
Valahe is ruled by a hereditary monarchy, patrilinear in nature, and related to the Elector Lord of Keltas through either blood or marriage by law. It is an absolute monarchy, with the King appointing members to his privy council in order to manage certain aspects of the management of the kingdom, such as the treasury or the dealing with new colonists coming from the Empire.
In reality, the King of Valahe is a puppet of the Elector Lord of Keltas, with full sanction from the Emperor. This allows the Empire to maintain some semblance of control over the growing colonies in the north, but maintain some illusion that the colonies are free to pursue their own agenda.
