As the Ban Fellowship was beginning to gain political support in Renscroprec, the Church of the Great Mother started to actively persecute those deemed outlaws.

The Conflict

Prelude

During the events of Crunstruad the Church of the Great Mother hunts down all opposition to their goals, ideals, and agenda. Once the Ban Fellowship was officially recognized as an organization and sheltered by several sovereign states in Renscroprec the church was forced to fight them as a rival organization.

Outcome

Many were deemed witches and were killed for it. Distrust was sown into the fabric of society.

Aftermath

The Church and the Fellowship do not trust one another to this day, and even actively seek to thwart each others plans.

Historical Significance

Technological Advancement

The Ban Fellowship expand conjuration to create Dafsir directly from vita, called Shades. They also create repositories for their knowledge, in case they are captured or killed, called Numen. 
The Church of the Great Mother learns of the Supplication from continued interaction with the divine. They are granted access to servants of the gods.
