A Demand for Justice
General Summary
Jaxom and Matten accepted a demand that they stand trial for what the former citizens of Honshu claimed were their crimes. Tiff and Rico decided to go along for moral support. Flying from Xiomara, they arrived in the grove they met the Northern Emancipation League without issue. There they saw that the grove had been set up with a pair of tables and a high desk, behind which sat Myrinoc Whitebow who would be the judge.
Jaxom was accused with Negligence to his duties as Ruler and Cowardice in the face of his enemies. His arguments proved that, despite his disappearance, he was not in negligence to his duties, as he did what he could to save as many of his people as he could. It was also pointed out that the second charge was null, as cowardice is not illegal by Honshu law.
Matten was also accused of Negligence to his duties as well as High Treason for his coup and subsequent absconding with the entirety of the treasury. He was also acquitted of the negligence accusal, but was unable to prove that he had not committed high treason. He was sentenced to exile from The Verdant Expanse.
