A Treasure Trove
General Summary
Tiff encountered an odd man in Xiomara who had set up a tent shop of “Antiques & Oddities.” Flagging her down, Brivark Fogdreamer asked if she might be willing to help him procure a pearl necklace that he suspected to be buried, along with some treasure, in the surrounding area. He promised the rest of the treasure was hers if she brought him the necklace.
Tiff collected her friends and, at the direction of Mr. Fogdreamer, headed to Clearwater Pier in search of a clue. Finding a half buried statue of a siren holding a conch shell, they decided to head in the direction it was facing after learning what note the sea breeze played when it whistled through the shell.
The group followed four remaining statues, Enam committing to memory each note from each statue, and found themselves at Kraken’s Pond. The musical notes they had learned gave them access to an underground temple filled with traps and treasure. A warning was scratched into the wall: ““Fair offerings bring fair winds to sea travelers, but those that do not pay their respects will find that the sea is as cold as Umberlee’s heart.”
Despite doing their best to avoid traps, Tiff caused the temple to begin flooding, putting pressure on the adventurers to make good use of their time. All in all, they managed to discover each room and made it out with two treasure chests of gold. The group re-emerged from the temple to discover a severe thunderstorm raging over the lake. Not wanting to stick around long enough for anyone to blow away, they teleported back to safety.
Raffyr was disappointed he was not able to bring the gargantuan tarantula home as a pet. Rico came back with the head of a Coral Golem and four small stone siren statues. And Brivark Fogdreamer was very grateful to have a family heirloom returned.
