Arbour Exploration Edict GG43 CLEARED

General Summary

The party meets in Xiomara to explore The Verdant Expanse. Unsure of where to meet Azim, Meako, Covak, and Nightfall head to the Flame of the Forest Inn goes to The Ashen Keep. Upon arriving Prim learns that Old Man Banedar is waiting for them at the inn.   Finding the rest of the party waiting for her she begins heading over to Meako's table when an arguement breaks out. An old man named Guffery the Magnificent is arguing with a group of adventures and making disparaging comments about their character. Prim intervenes and learns that Guffery's upstanding son Gire has gone missing and these adventurers failed in their quest to find him. She voluenteers to take up the quest in their stead. The adventurers leave before any questions of the dangers ahead could be asked, which is unfortunate as our brave adventurers might have been warned about the deadily Captain Falcon who is also searching for Gire.   Setting out they reached the river seperating Xiomara from The Verdant Expanse. Most of the party, unaffected by such pedestrian inconviences simply fly over, whereas Azim and his mount are forced to swim. Meako reconsiders bringing his faithful wolf and sends him home. That night they rested in the cold tundra.   Heading out the following morning they were set by a snowstorm slowing their travel and impeeding their vision. Taking advantage of the terrain a group of yetis charged towards the party. Seeing them coming Nightfall took out half of them with a fireball, and Prim charged towards the nearest survivor. Remembering her earlier experience she froze 10 above it, too terrified to continue her attack. Meako pulled out his bow and finished the remainder with several well placed arrows.   Azim berated the party for not trying diplomacy while stabalized the sole surviving yeti. Prim sneaks up to finish it off while Nightfall steals the creatures shadow. Azim demands the shadow to be returned while standing ready to defend the fallen beast against Prim. Nightfall pretends to return the shadow but instead creates an illusion of one instead. Azim fooled and placated, drags the creature into a cave he created. Meako meanwhile begins removing every claw and tooth from the yetis which takes a very long time. The surviving yeti wakes up and Azim attempts to negotiate a peaceful solution. Unfortuntaly peace was no longer possible and the yeti charges to his death at the hands of Covaks mighty weapon.   Meako warns the party of footsteps up ahead and hides along with Nightfall and Prim, while Azim and Covak call out to the strangers. A party of pirates approach with a dire tiger and immediatly start suggesting robbing the party, but Azim continues to try to work towards peace. Prim, angered by a comment made, shows herself and corrects the comment. At which point suggestions of her inadaquacy in a fight are made which causes Meako to shoot at, but miss, the tiger. Combat breaks out and all but one of the pirates are taken down quickly. Itok slicing directly through his heart. [Itok] prepares to swing again only to find the mortal wound disapear completely. Sobered from the sight he drops his weapon and surrenders.   The party learns that Gire was the first mate on Itok, however, has no issue following their tracks.   As they continue on their way the storm increases and snow starts falling at an accelerated rate. Meako notices the snow has competely hidden a frozen lake and warns the party it will collapse under the weight of a horse. The two horses are sent back to town and the party continues on foot.   Night sets in and Prim's familiar Divah spots three ghost like creatures sneaking up on the party. Warning them the bird begins singing it's inspiring song. All of the ghosts, which we later learn are callled Duupys, focus on the pirate Itok, Meako, and Azim rained ghost touch attacks on them. The battle was over almost as soon as it was started.   Nearby several corpses were found and they were identified as the missing pirates including Gire. Their wounds indicated a fight with giants and orcs. It seemed Gire was killed and became a duppy. His body was returned to Xiomara where it could be laid to rest. [Itok] was offered honest work and a good pay in exchange for giving up piracy.
