Arbour Kingdom Council - Mirtul 1375
General Summary
The council of the Arbour Kingdom gathered to address the needs of the kingdom. Despite the continued unrest brought on by large numbers of refugees, the kingdom remains stable and the treasury remains healthy enough to pay for the monthly needs of the kingdom. Chill in the Air was able to quell some unrest as well. The kingdom did not expand this month, nor did they improve any parts of the kingdom they currently hold. They did not build any settlements, but they did add more magical street lights around the magical academy. They also paved the streets of the Northern district in Xiomara, as well as building houses in Pygmy Village to integrate more refugees into the kingdom. The military was not expanded during this month. The council argued about taxes. Considering the refugee situation, the council decided, after much pleading, to drop the taxes for now.
It was at this point that the council received a visitor. Vefi, Grand Diplomat of the Hobgoblin Nation, arrived to discuss plans for the Hobgoblin Nation to claim Half Circle. After some discussion of which areas of land the two nations should claim, they came to an accord.
The Arbour Kingdom, specifically Xiomara, has been suffering from a serial killer. The Oak Tree Killer has claimed the lives of seven former refugees. The council pushed the military and policing forces to find the killer, which they successfully did. He was caught, having claimed the right hands of each of his victims as trophies. The council then spent the time and money to bring the victims back from the dead. (Though only 5 of the families wanted this to happen.)
After all of this was concluded, Tiff, Rico and Matten went to visit their water dragon friend to help him expand his territory.
