Black Forest Aid: Aug 3, 2021
General Summary
Magnus, Covak, Dana, and Prim set out to bring a ballista to the paladins in The Black Forest, on their way they found once again the young gnoll. Except this time Magnus was ready to speak to him, he explained that he is looking for his missing father and demanded they find him. Magnus agreed and they set out from there. They happened upon an armored knight who was smashing skeletons, he introduced himself as Sir Heward Malcolm and a few recognized the name from a noble family that had long since died out. Magnus channeled and saw Heward cry out in pain, after a moment of discussion he explained that a necromancer brought him back and tried to control him but failed. The party set out with him to fight the necromancer that had done this, they split up at the graveyard and fought through a group of zombies before arriving at a small mausoleum. Once they entered they faced a group of skeletons and a halforc necromancers, from behind they were flanked by skeletons. After a long fight between clerics channeling against each other the party had finally slain the necromancer, the being that stopped Hewards rest was gone but he said there was once more foe he must deal with and they parted ways. The party arrived with building supplies and the ballista and the paladins thanked them profusely, they noticed the hobgoblins were still there and Bastian explained that with the recent supplies and weapons they were planning to build up new fortifications.
