Calming A Goddess
General Summary
As new ruler of the Honshu Kingdom, Jaxom has his sights set on claiming the land to the NW, which unfortunately has been plagued by severe, unrelenting thunderstorms due to the anger of an evil goddess. He gathered a party together to seek out a way to rid Kraken’s Pond of it’s evils. Enam, Raffyr, and Rico joined Jaxom on his quest as each of them held partial responsibility for Umberlee’s anger.
After some discussion, it was decided to retrieve Perle, Cleric of Selune, from Xiomara to assist in spellcasting on the islands in Kraken’s Pond. The party traveled through the wind and rain to the location of the underground temple to Umberlee. Enam was greatly concerned with maintaining his appearance in the dire weather, casting Prestidigitation each round to keep himself “Boy Band Cute.” Raffyr and Rico, however, traveled in confidence, knowing that the rain-water glistened off of them in a majestic sheen. Jaxom, ever the survivalist, was hardly bothered.
Access to the temple was blocked by a colossal Goliath Spider, which sadly didn’t survive too long before being felled and chopped into pieces. Perle spent the next 24 hours casting Hallow to restore the grounds to a neutral alignment, Jaxom aiming to reclaim the land in Selûne’s name.
As a last effort to rid the land of any remnant of The Bitch Queen, the large stone statue of Umberlee was taken to the coast and thrown into the sea. The hex containing Kraken’s Pond was restored to its natural climate and Selûne’s name continues to hold strong in the North.
