Emergency Relief: Xiomara to Lakeside
General Summary
Prim, Rhal , Mortsuka and Azim gathered in Xiomara to act as caravan guards on behalf of Arbour Kingdom. Gathering with the caravan next to the palace, they took their places and headed out. The caravan managed to ford the river between Xiomara and Pygmy Village without incident. When they arrived at Pygmy Village, they discovered that some citizens had gathered into an angry mob to protest help being sent to The Hobgoblin Nation. After a bit of a scrap, Azim managed to pay them off to allow the caravan to pass.
Continuing along the forested road, the caravan forded another river and made good time until they were attacked by a pair of griffon riding bandits. The party killed one bandit and his griffon, but the other one escaped. As the sun began to set, the caravan leader decided to press on into the night, as they were close to their destination. As the sky grew darker, most of the party noticed an eerie orange glow along the road ahead. As they drew closer, they found themselves travelling between rows of lit jack-o-lanterns. They were then attacked by a headless rider. After defeating this apparition of death, they finally reached Lakeside. There, Azim decided to stay up the rest of the night to help unload supplies while the rest of the party slept. The following day they travelled back to Xiomara with the now empty caravan.
