Explore the Havens - TT52
General Summary
Rhal sent out a call for adventure and received an answer: The party would explore the foothill to the north of Dryads Mill.
Along the road north, they dispatched some undead lancers that seemed resistant or immune to the elements, but eventually overcame them once they realized their mounts did not share those immunities, thanks to a quick blast of lightning from Adonis. The undead claimed to be working for a Hans, but the only person any of them had heard who used that name was Hans Dalabrac, a member of The Sovereignty Council.
Confident in their abilities, the group soldiered on and met some friendly hobgoblins standing watch outside a Ruined Watchtower. They offered to help them clear out some ghouls from the tower, but once inside, the party found themselves overwhelmed by a black pudding! The hobgoblins only appeared after the battle to threaten the group, but they soon learned the error of their ways. A note among the loot revealed them as deserters-turned-bandits.
The loot was substantial, but Prim took her time gathering it up, carefully replacing the gems with illusions.
Unfortunately, they soon discovered that the hobs had one more gift for the party: the plague. The disease wracked the bodies of over half the group, so Rhal took the opportunity to seek help.
While waiting for Rhal, Adonis and Mull had to fight off a hungry griffon, who met its fate at teh forks of the equally hungry Adonis, who took the opportunity to consume the fallen bird's flesh and offered some to Mull while Covak and Prim recovered in the tent.
During the forbidden feast, Rhal decided to cash in on the reward money and offered the claim to the Sovereignty in West Haven, only returning with a priestess for healing once that was done (and paying for her services with coin and a very foreboding future favor).
In the end, the party believed each other's lies, and returned to Dryads Mill to split the loot.
