Explore the Verdant Expanse - OO47

General Summary

Fnor set out to explore more land to add to the Honshu kingdom. Matten, Bombo and Javida joined him and adventured up river.
The party first came across a downed tree in the river, blocking the path of a small boat. It’s passengers, a couple by the names of Jim and Bella, sat by the waters edge contemplating what to do. Bombo moved it deftly out of the way. That problem being solved within a matter of seconds, the party sat down with the couple for a light dinner over the fire and decided to camp for the night.
On Bombo’s watch, the party was accosted by a gargantuan sized tarantula. The tarantula was felled in no time, allowing Jim and Bella to sleep peacefully through the night.
The next day, the party said their goodbyes to Jim and Bella and then continued their exploration. They faced off against a trio of Kelpie’s, whose Captivating Lure drew Canth into the river, attempting to drown him. Between the arrows from F’nor and Matten and Bombo’s hammer, the Kelpie’s were soon dealt with.
Adventuring further, the party encountered a family of grizzly bears fishing by the river’s edge. Matten used his Wild Empathy in an attempt to convince them to allow the party to pass without trouble, but unfortunately, the mama bear was too fearful of any danger reaching her cubs. The party put down both adult grizzly bears, allowing the baby bears to run off into the forest.
Finally, our party encountered something for which they were not adequately prepared. A lone gravesite guarded by some kind of invisible wall, surrounded by a type of special red flower. On the headstone was written: “For my love. Our time was too short.” The party determined there were two magical auras emanating from the grave but were not able to ascertain any further information and left.
F’nor paid Bombo and Javida 3,000 gp each for their efforts in expanding Honshu.
