Exploring with Friends
General Summary
A group of adventurers set out to explore the mountains north of Silver City, hoping tosurvey the land for future expansion. The the land proved to be quite opposed to their being there. Daily wind and snowstorms severely impeding their ability to travel further, even forcing them to camp out and wait for three days straight until the weather cleared. Once they were able to ravel again, they happened upon a strange sight. A pair of moon beasts convincing kobolds to destroy a massive machine made in service to worshippers of Kurtulmak. The party was nearly convinced to leave the moon beasts to their work until it was unconvered the kobolds under their command were citizens of Draconia. After a fierce battle, the moon beasts and subsequently Kurtulmak's juggernaut were defeated. And with Nightfall's help the kobold's mind control was undone. After a convincing conversation with Covak the kobolds agreed to leave for Silver City. Further up the mountain the party found a cliff's edge covered in conspiquous piles of rocks all around a massive fire pit. After some poking around the ghost of a kobold awakened from one of the piles! After talking with the ghost along with a few others who awoke as time went on the party came to realize this was a site of deep cultural and spiritual significance for the kobolds. This is where spirits, divine servants of Kurtulmak resided to return Kobolds from their march in Kelemvor's realm to be reincarnated into the eggs of their tribes. As much as Covak may have not bgeen a fan of the god they served, he and his other party members could not bring themselves to tarnish the site, even if it served the purposes of an evil god. Choosing instead to leave it be for now, with plans to perhaps replace the current guardians in the future with ones Covak could trust more.
