Goblinhold - A Cry for Help
General Summary
Covak gathered some friends to go help the goblins with a slaver problem. The party decided to travel without mounts in order to avoid the difficulty of getting them into the mountains. When the party arrived at the base of the mountains east of Arbour Kingdom, they made camp. There, Mortsuka cast a spell on Magnus and Meako so that they could stay up all night keeping watch. During the night, Magnus noticed that Covak was tossing and turning a lot in the tent. Not wanting to disturb his sleep, he didn't wake him. A couple hours later, a nightmare attacked the party. After defeating it, the two who stayed up all night were given a couple of hours of sleep.
After this adventure, the party headed into the mountains. After a day of travel they arrived in Cauldron. There they met Dreekz who gave them information for the task at hand.
Following this information, they headed east and stopped at a goblin owned mine to ask for more information. They spoke to a bugbear who was at first confused by the big words which Covak used. Meako stepped in and managed to get the information they wanted. Searching for tracks, Meako soon picked up the trail, despite the incessant rain. They followed the tracks for much of the rest of the day, until some boulders were dropped on them from above. A pair of orcs attacked the party. Despite pulling off some impressive hits and soaking a lot of damage, the orcs eventually fell. One was killed, the other was taken prisoner. As they were discussing what to do with the surivor and how much healing they each needed, Meako spied another orc coming. They managed to kill this orc as well.
Deciding to stop there to rest, the party went off the next morning to follow the fresh tracks of the third orc to find the camp. As they drew within sight of campfire smoke, Meako volunteered to scout ahead. He slipped forward, but was unfortunately spotted by an unusally alert orc. Reacting quickly, the orcs quickly knocked Meako out and added him to their pen full of goblin prisoners.
After a while, when Meako did not return, the rest of the party decided to move further down the trail. There they found the camp and managed to defeat the two orcs, as well as a hill giant who woke up from the sound of the fighting. After this, they freed the goblins and while Magnus worked to revive the wounded Meako, the freed goblins proceeded to celebrate their newfound freedom by removing the heads of their captors.
The whole group returned to Cauldron, with heads and captured orc in tow. There they turned them in to Dreekz who led them to the castle to get their reward. After this, the party travelled back to Xiomara without issue.
