Good Hunting
General Summary
Khalid Tralin and Crane set out to meet Commander Var of the Hobgoblin Nation to do a job for him. Once they arrive the job was to hunt a unicorn in neutral area, Var explained with great effort that the hunt has to take place in neutral territory much to the parties confusion. After hearing the objective they requested aid and two hobgoblins Bjorn and Gorka joined them, together they set out to start by hunting some game including boar and some giant toads that ambushed Crane and Khalid Tralin on a log bridge over a river nearly leading the party to a watery grave. After facing the boars the party rested, and once more they rested after the giant frogs. During their second night in the forest moving towards the unicorn it decided that after two days it would not wait for them and attacked them in the night. Crane was impaled by the unicorns horn from its brutal charge, the others waking up to the pained cry of Crane as he lost consciousness, Bjorn and Gorka emerged from their tent with no armor and Khalid Tralin awoke but found himself unable to use his weapon of choice out of fear of hurting the fallen Crane . Khalid Tralin tried to fool the unicorn but his lies were seen through by the creature, once Gorka fell Khalid Tralin mounted the horse and fled leaving Bjorn behind. Bjorn fell cursing Khalid Tralin while Crane and Gorka bled out, Khalid Tralin returned later to collect the cart but was unable to find the bodies of his companions. He returned to the hobgoblin camp and informed Var what happened, and left some details out replacing them with his own words. Var spared Khalid Tralin because he brought back the bodies of some animals but refused to sign any paperwork.
