Helping Mama - Lesser Bandersnatch Quill
General Summary
Savin was in the mood for a hunt so he gathered his friends and headed to the swamps of New Saltmarsh to take up Mama Oda’s task of procuring a quill from a Lesser Bandersnatch.
Arriving confidently into Mama Oda’s part of the swamp, Savin was humbled for a moment when he became the victim of a Witchfire’s touch attack. Anthony, Ruth and Savin were the only ones momentarily afflicted by the Witchflame and subsequent sickening, with Tiff and Egon being the smart spellcasters and staying out of the way.
Mama Oda welcomed the travelers with a smile and a sharp gaze. She offered them some information on their prey before wishing them well and encouraging them to come back alive.
From there, the adventurers traveled to the Hunter's Glen Lodge’s Lodge to see if Bratton was able to offer them any assistance in tracking down the Lesser Bandersnatch. After a round of drinks, they set off in the direction Bratton assured them he had seen the monster.
Walking directly into the path of the Bandersnatch the adventurers were surprised when quills came flying at them. Damage was avoided and the poor Bandersnatch was not even able to make another attack before being felled. With Anthony taking its head back to the lodge, quills were collected and distributed evenly amongst all present.
Mama Oda was grateful for the completion of her task and paid the travelers for their efforts. She wasn’t, however, at all happy about Savin’s rude teleportation entrance into her home.
