Helping Mama - Package Delivery
General Summary
Alik gathered a group to Mama Oda’s to take up one of her tasks. Bombo arrived disguised as a human. Mama Oda’s request was simple: deliver a package to a friend. That friend turned out to be the leader of a group hiding out on the outskirts of the ruins of the Winter Witch’s Glacier.
Mama Oda handed them a locked box with her gift inside. She entrusted the key to Farouk, the most honest looking of the group, to keep the key safe.
The guards keeping watch outside the compound must have been new to the job because it didn’t take much convincing to get them to let the party through. Bombo almost threw off their plans when he failed to lie convincingly that he was a human. The poor guards almost wet themselves watching him suddenly turn into a 9-foot tall dwarf.
The guards on the inside were much more stern. Eventually, Alik was able to convince them that their intentions were pure and they were simply there to deliver a package. Alik and Farouk were allowed entrance, with an escort, to see Cort Cudo.
Cort Cudo was not immediately trusting of the delivery but after being reminded of Mama Oda she had one of her men open the box. Alik took a good long look at the item inside and recognized it as a Crystal Ball. Impressed at the expense of the gift and it’s potential in gaining wanted information, Cort accepted the gift and dismissed the visitors.
Traveling back to New Saltmarsh, Stewmaker almost dove off their flying mount after some Centaurs that looked tasty, but was held back by his party. Mama Oda rewarded him with the carcass of an animal she had previously used in a divination spell.
