Joining the Harpers

General Summary

Enam and his fellow Tallstags decided to seek Those Who Harp (the Harpers) for help against a threat to Pandora--but first they had to find them. Rogar Fistbeard provided Enam the name of an inn in Baldur’s Gate and Tiff shifted them to the city. Inside the Cloak & Dagger, they found a woman bearing the moon-and-harp, Seli Kukou, who asked them for a favor in return: find out what happened to Harper agents in the Cloakwood, and dismantle Dao Mu’s smuggling operation. Following Mu’s tracks through the forest, they found a totem surrounded by long-dead plants, except for one recently-dead tree harboring a dryad corpse. Resurrecting the fey, she told them a Harper ex-druid had killed her. That night they drove off an undead bear and followed its tracks to a portal where they met the druid Balthazar. When they refused to leave, he attacked them, and after defeating him, the party returned to Kukou to demand an explanation. Back at the inn, they encountered Lisabeth, the High Harper who provided ships against Azurphax, locked in battle with Seli, now revealed as a Zhentarim spy. The party had a choice: defend Lisabeth but settle for nothing from the resource-strapped Harpers, or take the Zhent’s offer to fight the Sovereignty. Listening to their conscience, they sided with Lis, who thanked them and made Enam a member of the Harpers before disappearing with Seli’s teleport gem, ostensibly to track down a Zhent spymaster.
