Kingdom of Fjordhaven Council - Hammer 1376

General Summary

Despite the loss of its Grand Diplomat and natural disasters brought on by the wrath of a jealous god, the Kingdom fo Fjordhaven continues to thrive. Prior to the start of the monthly meetings, King Bombo Stonebone the 69th had a vision wherein Moradin, the All-Father, came to him and chastised him for not giving him more obeisance as the father of the dwarves. Bombo was awoken from this dream by a great shaking of his city. Rushing to the temple of Moradin, he spoke to the high priest, sharing his dream. The High Priest promised to commune with his god to seek his guidance on the vision. Meanwhile, a messenger arrived to inform the king that the Full Moon's Respite temple had collapsed in an earthquake.

Upkeep
The continued efforts of king and council work to reduce the lingering unrest of the people, while the treasury continues to support the heavy cost of keeping well armed troops active in the kingdom.

Edict
Having no one prepared to fill the shoes of Enam, the council moved on to other business. The kingdom did not expand its borders this month, but they did build more fisheries and a mine to help feed their people and pay for their armies. They also built housing for their people in Stag's Ballad and rebuilt a housing district destroyed by the hurricane in Stag's Redoubt. Bombo promised Goraldina Sternhammer that the kingdom would begin building shrines to Moradin next month. With an eye on the costs of keeping troops at the ready, the kingdom decided against any new equipment or armies for this month. Finally, the council have decided to promote more exploration, this time into the mountains so that they can open new mines. They have also put forth a call for any who feel they are worthy to act as diplomat to apply for the position to the council.

Income
The council received a generous donation from the estate of the late Enam Silverhands. Other than that, the kingdom continues to function in its own ability to generate treasury.
