Regen for a degen
General Summary
Meeting at the Flame of the Forest Inn to answer a call for help, the party consisting of Lorenzo De Leur, Anathema, Axel, Kivi and Evette banded together to see how they could assist a dwarf by the name of Rustein. They traveled outside the city until they came upon the one legged dwarf, hanging out on the side of of a tree, smoking a pipe.
Evette tried to impose her non-tobacco views upon the dwarf, and it was replied by a big cloud of dark smoke in her direction. Rustein explained to the party he had lost his leg, and a druid had promised to help him regrow it, but at the cost of a few truffles from a farm about a day's journey to the south east. They asked about how to get the truffles, but Rustein was not worried on the details.
During their trip, and night started to fall, the party noticed a camp fire off in the distance. Choosing to scout ahead, Kivi and Anathema stealthily found a camp of enemies. They got close, but weren't able to make out the figures before they decided to return to the party with the information they gathered. Evette was able to gather from the information from the party they were coming across a band of goblins with a few goblin dogs. They party snuck forward, but once Axel got close, he yelled out a roar, alerting the goblin camp. As the party descended upon the camp, they goblins stood little resistance against the experience adventurers. Having cleared out the area of threats, the group rested for the night.
The following morning, the party approached a farm that was in poor management. A farmer outside, with a few boar set up in a pen. When the party attempted to negotiate, the farmer was hesitant to allow for the party to mess with his pig or pick his precious truffles. Evette managed to get a trade of some work on his farmhouse for a chance to get the truffles. Bored, and unwilling to actually work in the field, Axel, Anathema and Lorenzo De Leur move in to attack the farmer. Seeing their attack, he attempts to fend off his attackers, however the numbers of the attackers proved too overwhelming for him. Rifling through his pockets, Anathema found an ornately carved obsidian dagger.
After dispatching the farmer, Axel and Kivi immediately went after the boar, attempting to persuade them to cooperation, despite having just killed their loving owner. Their plans ultimately failed, and the boar struck, dealing a heavy blow to Axel. The rest of the party drew in close to attack, and after a few good hits, the first of the two pigs were down, the other staying off and seeing to guard a spot very closely.
Deciding it was best not to engage a second very powerful boar, the party left the enclosure and decided to search the house. Finding a bag of truffles within the home, the party put the body of the deceased man in the house and lit it aflame to hide their crimes, and made their way back to Rustein.
Upon returning, Rustein seemed happy to see they had returned with the truffles. When the party asked about the druid who was supposed to help, a hawk flying above landed, quickly morphing into a tall elf, who Rustein introduced as "Mr. Brown". Brown requested the truffles from the party, as well as an obsidian dagger. Most of the party was confused, but Anathema handed it over, and requested that it be returned, which Brown agreed to. Brown took up the knife and plunged it into the head of the dwarf, instantly killing him. He then began an incantation, the party stood, stunned. At the end of the spell, the dwarf's body flashed in a brilliant light, and as it faded, stood a much younger looking dwarven man, alive and well. Rustein, thrilled with his new leg, quickly paid the party and left. Axel requested to speak with the druid, who he pledged his services to should he ever call. Brown acknowledged him, before taking off himself and the party returning to Xiomara.
