Returning Our Magister Part 2: The Claelands
General Summary
Now with direction from Taiella the party headed put to the Chaotic Claelands in search of the adventurer they mentioned. With the help of scrying Nightfall teleported the party to the peak of a massive mountain, finding him laying unconscious within a birds nest surrounded by eggs and the remains of others who had been brought there. Just before the birds who claimed the nest to be their own the party left a horse in the explorer's place and traveled with him back to Xiomara.
Once back home, the man confirmed he was the explorer they had been looking for, Bern. Though he was not quite as helpful as the party had been hoping, he did have the leads they needed on both the scales of a merfolk and where to find the lizardfolk they were looking for.
Choosing to follow his lead on the former the party headed south in a blisteringly fast chariot to the Isles of Corella. While Bern had been vague on most details his directions at least were easy enough to follow, meaning the party had little trouble finding the abandoned temple believed to have once used by merfolk that lived in the area some time ago. After killing off some massive jellyfish that had made their home in its watery entrance the party slipped inside, finding the water did not reach very far past the entrance. And with only small inconveniences such as a rumbling collapse of the crumbling structure or the flooding of the temple after stealing a few precious treasures the party managed to find their scale. Now they were halfway to resurrecting their magister, they only needed to find Alakazam's other required ingredient before the process of returning their magister could finally begin!
