The Emerald Spire: The Circle of Vissk-Thar April 8, 2022
General Summary
Khalid, Prim, Covak, Alastari and Kazumar made the trip to The Emerald Spire. Paying their way into the Circle of Vissk-Thar, they entered and found themselves at the top of a curving set of stairs. Making their way to the bottom of the steps, they all felt an overwhelming desire to grap a snake statue in a pool of water. As each of them got close, they disappeared. All of them found themselves in a spiral maze. Prim and Covak made it through to the other end of the maze first, where they found a locked door. Prim worked at picking the lock. Soon after making it through the door, Khalid, Kazumar and Alastari were trapped in the maze by spectral snakes which pushed them into the center of the maze. When they got there, the snakes breathed poison gas into the room, knocking out Khalid and Kazumar. They attempted to kill the snakes, including Khalid throwing a bomb which also hit Alastari and Kazumar, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Covak and Prim fought a trio of serpentfolk. After killing them, Prim and Covak rushed back to save the rest of the party, killing the snakes.
After the snakes were dead, Alastari told Prim and Covak about Khalid hitting his allies with a bomb. This led to an argument between two sides, with Kazumar getting out of the way. Ultimately, Prim and Covak killed Khalid, without him fighting back. The rest of the party continued on, fighting their way through the rest of the dungeon. They rescued a Human wizard who had been captured by the serpentfolk. Before they left the dungeon, Kazumar returned to Khalid's body to drag it out of The Emerald Spire.
Upon exiting The Emerald Spire, Prim and Covak wanted to burn Khalid's body. Smaragdus stepped in and told them to leave, taking charge of Khalid's remains. The players listened to him and returned to their homes.
After the snakes were dead, Alastari told Prim and Covak about Khalid hitting his allies with a bomb. This led to an argument between two sides, with Kazumar getting out of the way. Ultimately, Prim and Covak killed Khalid, without him fighting back. The rest of the party continued on, fighting their way through the rest of the dungeon. They rescued a Human wizard who had been captured by the serpentfolk. Before they left the dungeon, Kazumar returned to Khalid's body to drag it out of The Emerald Spire.
