Upkeep
The kingdom was quiet this month, which was good, because the Fjordhaven Royal Enforcer was absent from his duty.
Edict
Land just to the south was claimed and a farm and a fishery were constructed. It was decided to outfit the kingdom armies with improved weapons and armor. Additional laws were passed. The Sovereignty currency is now outlawed within The Kingdom of Fjordhaven and currency exchanges set up. Anyone traveling through the portal from Xiomara to Fjordhaven will have to register upon arrival and pay a 10gp travel tax (Players will post their tax in market-bartering). Finally, an Exploration Edict was issued to claim more land to the south.
Income
Just in time to talk money, Savin burst through the doors of the Stonebone Academy breathlessly apologizing for being late. Both Bombo and Savin contributed a good sum to the kingdom treasury. Along with the incoming taxes, the treasury was left only slightly under where it was at the start of the council’s meeting.
Event
A written message was delivered to the council in haste. The farmlands in the north along Mountboon Path had reported that fires have been springing up all over. The farmers requested Bombo’s assistance. Bombo and Savin arrived at the scene to find two fiery creatures setting crops and buildings ablaze. Upon Bombo’s appearance a half-orc with a rather beaten and unkempt looking man chained to his side called out, “You stubborn dwarves are starting to get too big for your britches. Why couldn’t you just keep to your sleepy mountain? Consider this a warning that you should refrain from expanding east.” Then, at the gesture of the man in chains, both he and the half-orc disappeared leaving Bombo and Savin to deal with the fire creatures.
