The Lost at Sea
General Summary
Mako, Titus, Arcturus, Virion and Yohannes met together in the Flame of the Forest Inn, trying to follow up on the missing brother of Captain Sten Earthstrike. They went down to the pier, and found that Sten had not left yet, loading up their ship with goods ready for the trip back home. The spoke with Sten, asking if they had a lead, but unfortunately he had heard nothing but whispers.
The party decided to ask around the people of the docks, to try and gather some information on the missing ship, The Hidden Hand. Finding out that there was a survivor of the crash, they went to hunt down the remaining person. They found this dwarf was in the tavern, drunk, disheavaled, and barely conscious. After buying him a drink, Titus found out that the ship's crew had mutineed and were shortly after ambushed by pirates, not knowing what became of the ship.
Bringing this to Sten's attention, they departed to the isles south of The Havens, thinking that if Dalban was still alive, that is where he would likely to be.
After a few days on the ocean, those with sharp eyes saw familar shapes approaching the ships at great speed. Preemptively, the party attacked the sahuagin approaching the ship, obliterating them in combat. Virion managed to take one hostage, though unconscious. After realizing it was going to be a while before they woke up, the party decided to rest. The next morning they woke up and a heavy fog set in. As they started their interrogation, a loud "thunk" was heard behind Johannes. At they turn, they noticed a boarding crew of pirates creating a walkway between two boats. After seeing the pirates, the party attacked. Showing little to no concern over the boarding crew, the party quickly dispatched the pirates, capturing a pair of them, and taking the boat they had left. Deciding they can't fully operate a full other ship, they decided to beach it on the nearby islands, and come back to it another time.
After the pirates woke up, they were interrogated by Virion, who choose to kill one when he didnt listen to explicit directions. The remaining one told them of a captured dwarf on an island nearby, who was watched over by "a scary lady".
The party, taking a rowboat to get closer to the smaller islands, found the creature the pirate had told them about - A sea hag. The hag took a liking to Virion, deciding they could play a game for the limbs and body parts of Dalban. She would tell Virion riddles, and if the party could solve them they would earn another limb. Through some clever wordplay, the party answered all of the riddles properly. True to her word, the hag freed the dwarf before telling Virion she was bored and was ready to move on anyways.
Reuniting the brothers, the party set off towards Fjordhaven, turning in the pirate to the authorities, they were paid for their troubles, and everyone went into the city, eager for the next adventure.
