The Queen Has Returned!
General Summary
Some crazy sounding person posted up that Azurphax had returned, creating quite the stir. Jaxom, being the skeptic, called together a party of Cloev, Raffyr, and Nexus to investigate.
Heading from Lakeside Village to Azurphax’s lair they encountered a small colony of Demonic Deadfall Scorpions that didn’t survive very long. Nexus suddenly remembered that his son was proposing to a girl that day and teleported away, leaving his companions to travel without him.
Further on, the remaining party came upon an Earth Elemental taking a nap in the side of the mountain base. Raffyr engaged it in conversation asking if it had seen a dragon roaming around that part of the forest. The Earth Elemental confirmed that a creature with bat like wings had been creating a stir but only at night. Curious, the party continued to Azurphax’s lair.
The lair seemed to be rather deserted. Cloev decided to fly around until he spotted something. He definitely took notice when a huge creature emerged from the dark and attempted to bite at him.
The Nightwing was not happy to be disturbed and put up a decent fight. Ruth was slain in battle but Raffyr was able to raise him after the fact and bring him back to full health.
Cloev teleported the corpse of the Nightwing back to Warhaven to harvest some trophies for his companions. The corpse was eventually taken back to Lakeside and burned.
