The Time to Strike is Now
General Summary
Delegations from Tetrodora, the Arbour Kingdom, and a mysterious elven nation from the south sea made their way to the Hobgoblin Nation to discuss taking part in the coming war with the drow. The conversation was tense in regards to recent trade negotiations between Tetrodora and the Hobgoblin Nation along with the Hobgoblin Nation's declared intent to take Emancipation for themselves seeing as it had fallen to the drow under the nose of the Arbour Kingdom. Eventually though, after much arguing, terms were decided on. The deal the Hobgoblin Nation made with the elves was made null, as the Arbour Kingdom agreed to retake Emancipation without the hobgoblins help, ceding all claims to Emancipation should they fail. And agreeing that once Emancipation was back under their fold they would assist in the defence of Lakeside. Tetrodora agreed to assist in the war and defend the eastern portion of the Hobgoblin Nation in exchange for favorable treatment of traders from Tetrodora moving through their territory, making them exempt from any border taxes. Along with Malgrim personally seeing what he could do to allow the laws of the Hobgoblin Nation to look more favorably on the followers of the god Ra in light of the current situation wit the eternal night brought about by the drow. Tetrodora also promised to assist in any future wars the Hobgoblin Nation engages in so long as the main target is a mutual enemy.
After the meeting, members of the delegation of the Arbour Kingdom met up with the elves to discuss the possibility of getting a similar deal as to what the Hobgoblin Nation originally had. The elves agreed to loan their ships for transport to the Arbour Kingdom in exchange for ships flying under the banner of the South Sea Trade being exempt from port checks within the Arbour Kingdom for the next year. Both the Arbour Kingdom and Tetrodora mobilized their nations militaries. The Arbour Kingdom preparing for the invasion of Emancipation while Tetrodora were worried of the amount of unknowns still around the drow's plans, so despite their assurances to Malgrim set their armies to patrol the border of Tetrodora and the Hobgoblin Nation.
