Week of Waukeen: Xiomara
General Summary
Alik, eager to host a trade festival that all of Pandora can participate in, travels to Xiomara. In an effort to join add the Arbour Kingdom to the list of those who will be attending he headed to Medevah's Temple to meet with Meako who represents the current leadership of Arbour.
Hearing of the meeting, Nihilus teleports into the Flame of the Forest inn, and after getting directions from a catfolk, joins in the meeting.
Prim, hosting within her temple, greeted the three kingdom leaders as they come to talk over the trade festival. Alik gave his presentation when the subject of protection for those who are attending came up by the warden of Arbour, Xuxgor, as a large concern. Nihilus attempted to convince the group to allow his undead to unerringly serve the festival, stating they are incapible of corruption or influence. However, his words fell on deaf ears as no one seem to give it a second thought.
Alik attempted to use an item that compells its user to tell the truth as a deterrant, stating that anyone attending would be subject to it to ensure that they are not plotting against others in attendance. With some tricky word play, Nihilus demonstrated how easy it is to work around simple truth telling. After the item was put away, Nihilus mentioned the Freedom Accords, withdrawing his support of the trade festival unless all others in attendance also signed the accords, condemning those who practice in slavery, including Fjordhaven, and also condoning those who have not signed the accords. Prim and Meako requested a copy for review, and after his declaration, Nihilus leaves the discussion. Meako stated that despite the tension he is willing to join the festival. Alik, slightly dejected as he has gained the support of one empire just to lose the support of another, returns home.
