Magellan (star system)

Red Giant & Main Sequence Binary System
Magellan is one of three systems that comprise the Triptych. Like the others, Palladia (star system) and Prycil, it is a binary system. The Magellan system contains eight planets. The first five are uninhabitable for heat, gravity or atmospheric reasons, but Magellan 6, 7 and 8 have all been colonized. In total, the Magellan system is home to nearly thirteen billion Terrans.
