Cheese Cellar

The Cheese Cellar of Dairy is a hidden Guildhall, Library and Research Faclilty under Strawberry Hill in Dairy, on the exact epicenter of Dairy-On-Moonrise and Dairy-On-Stardust.
The name of the building is based of what the original Curdoligists would call the spaces where they would make cheese and perform blessings. By naming it after a common structure on most farms, the Society hoped to hide its name from any overheard conversations.

Purpose / Function

The central storage location of all documents and books related to The Society of Cheesemeisters. After so much lore was lost during the Battle, the Curdologists determined that this would be a neutral, safe location to ensure the safety and continuity of the historical records.   Tunnels lead between the former prominent farms of Dairy-On-Moonrise and Dairy-On-Stardust, just large enough to allow the transfer of a few goat or a small bovine underground without alerting the actual community of Dairy.

Alterations

The original library has been increased to 6 stories deep, to include all the books and articles of the area over the past 200 years, plus additional contributions from other communities outside of Dairy.   The fifth and sixth floor underground have become a seed bank and emergency ration storage, after the Wasting Disease destroyed much of the supplies of Dairy-On-Moonrise.

History

It took many years for the original first floor of the library to be carved out. It still remains in its original format as a comparitively small storage nook at the top of the Cheese Cellar.   Once it was discovered that Straberry Hill was a Node, and that any rocks that were removed could become Runes, progress on the Cave increased exponentially as machines from the Runesmen could be powered from the waste rocks of the excavation, although haphazardly as the Society could not hire Runesmen to build their secret library.   The most recent addition of the Cheese Cellar is the seed bank and emergency ration storage, founded by the newest Affineur and the first Affineur of Systemization, Simon Chesterton.
