Comenzar Peninsular

Introduction
The Comenzar Peninsula is a chain of islands; starting with a large island with smaller islands floating above and around the main landmass.   The main island is known by the locals as Red Ridge, named for the red buttes and canyons that scar the landscape. The topography of Red Ridge is made up of mostly red plateaus, green plains and sepia deserts separated by canyons and gorges - all of which meet at the middle of the island, at a massive butte known as the Tower of Asmodeus.   Although Red Ridge is not the most habitable or hospitable place for survival, it holds enough amenities for one-horse towns and villages to survive. The planes have farmable land, lakes and rivers, the desert has a score of lost civilizations to pillage and gather resources from and the plateaus are chock full of metals and minerals just waiting to be mined up.
One particular one-horse town is known as Snakebite Junction, a sort of in-between mining and dairy town that acts as a natural landmark and oasis for Red Ridge. The mayor, a Nagaji that has a distinct scale pattern similar to a Diamondback Rattlesnake named Old Boy Yesmoro, personally overlooked a more traditional railroad that goes from Snakebite Junction to The Olympia Station.   The locals at Snakebite Junction often warn travelers to give Windcarve Canyon a wide berth, due to the current occupation being a bit more than unfriendly to most outsiders. Windcarve Canyon used to be a massive set of stripmines that went deep into the earth - with the mining town it was connected to literally carved from the stone at the bottom of the canyon. However, when the silver dried up - with all there was left being coal - the town was quickly abandoned, leaving these massive sets of seemingly endless tunnels and an empty town made of stone. It didn’t take long after for a new group to occupy it; a group of bandits and smugglers known as the Red Ridge Runners - a group of ex-convicts that escaped from a prison train going over Red Ridge a few years back. These fellows use the canyon and its various caves and tunnels to seemingly pop up from nowhere - either to ambush caravans or to run elicit goods, like Chaos Strings, across Red Ridge.   The other islands in the Comenzar Peninsula include Olympia Station itself,a piece of some city that had recently appeared and has yet to be unexplored and a floating piece of the Plane of Water known as The Sea of Theolosa - a small enough piece of an ocean to be considered a ‘sea’, self contained like a sphere of water with a solid center of seafloor.

Government

There is no unified government on the Comenzar Peninsular, although some of the larger groups and communities tend to 'keep in touch' for the purposes of criminal activity, defence and other essentials.

Biomes:
Deserts, Mountains and Canyons, Rivers and Lakes, Ruins (Material Plane)
Deep Sea (Water Plane - Sea of Theolosa).

Places of Interest

Snakebite Junction: This small town sits on the railway track leading from Olympia Station inland, it acts as something of a hub for anyone looking to explore more of the island. And there is a lot of island to explore. It is able to provide a place to stay and basic supplies, however.

Olympia Station: The main station where most people arrive to the void. Large enough to be nearly its own town, it draws supplies and resources from Comenzar.

Mestizo Oasis: The directions to it seem to keep changing, but this oasis in the desert is known for it's rare lush vegetation, beautful hummingbirds, and local guides. What they'll guide you to depends on how they see you...

Dramatic Personae

Old Boy Yesmoro: A rattlesnake-scaled Nagaji and the leader of Snakebite Junction as it's mayor, he tends to take a personal interest in the kind of person that wanders into town.     Overseer: All Parhelion Staff
